At Tucson Capoeira, you will receive an introduction to the four core expressions of Capoeira : Movement, Music, Philosophy, and History. The fight of capoeira is often described as a physical conversation between two bodies. This class teaches you the language that the dance movements, attacks, and escapes represent. When the class is complete, not only will you be ready to “speak capoeira,” you will be ready to participate in all of its four core expressions within the mixed level classes. And you should expect to begin experiencing the Benefits of Capoeira.
Art of CAPOEIRA. Over the span of two Months you will Learn and Understand the Basic History, Movements, Sequences, and Rhythms of this Amazing Art Form.

Classes will be held from 5:30 -7:00pm on Mondays & 6pm to 7:30 Wednesdays, and 4pm tp 6pm on Saturday Fridays.

At Tucson Capoeira, you will learn to the basic movements, music, and philosophy of Capoeira. Our Intro to Capoeira Series is a great opportunity to start capoeira with others that are also just getting started. The camaraderie and support that is generated in a beginner group like this a great experience and one of the best ways to get comfortable as you begin to learn Capoeira. Capoeira is a fantastic workout, a positive social environment, and cultural enrichment that will surely be a fulfilling growth experience.
Capoeira originated in Brazil, and is a dynamic expression of Afro-Brazilian culture. Today it can be found in many countries throughout the entire world. Crossing many facets of personal expression, it encompasses its own philosophy, history, culture, and music while developing a strong sense of community amongst its participants.
