Tucson's only authentic Japanese gardens reopen for the Fall 2017 season on October 1 with "Between Folds: Classical Japanese Origami," an exhibition through December 31 of traditional Japanese folded paper forms by origami artist M. Craig. Raised in both America and Japan, "M" holds a degree in Fine Arts and is co-founder of the Tucson Origami Club and has taught Japanese paper-folding techniques throughout the Tucson region since 1996. Open 9:30-4:30 daily, except Mondays, Thanksgiving Day, Dec. 24, 25 & 30, and New Year's Day. Entrance is free with regular Gardens admission: $9 adults; Seniors (65+): $8; Students & Military (w/ID): $7; Children 3-15: $5; Children 2 and under: free. Reduced admission for groups of 10 or more with two week's advance notice of visit.
