Art and Artifacts of the Northern Frontier New Spain and Mexico circa 1540-1860

Michael D. Higgins Antique Indian Art Gallery is exhibiting rare objects from the Conquistador period through the Mexican Independence. Objects date from the 16th Century through the 19th Century. This will be the first time these objects have been shown in a public format outside of well known institutions. Although most of the items will be for sale, the main focus of this exhibit will be for educational purposes shown by displaying the types of everyday items used by the soldiers from the Conquest Period through the Presidio Period.
