Mission Garden, located at Tucson's birthplace at the base of "A" Mountain, is a living agricultural museum of Sonoran Desert-adapted heritage fruit-trees, traditional heirloom crops, and edible native plants. Our mission is to preserve, transmit, and revive the region’s rich agricultural heritage by growing garden plots representative of more than 4000 years of continuous cultivation in the Tucson Basin. Now with expanded hours: Wednesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas and the day after Christmas. Suggested donation $5/person.
