HIIT workout with Christine! Every Tuesday & Friday morning at 7am, $6 drop-in
In this high energy class, you will experience the environment of a group fitness class paired with the ability to tailor your workout to your own needs and abilities...plus, a great playlist to pump you up while you move!
HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. It is a style of exercise that uses short bursts of activity followed by brief rest periods to get your heart rate up, maximize your output, and increase your endurance over time. A circuit set up around the room with multiple stations (different every time!) will challenge you with exercises to target different muscle groups and keep your workout from feeling stale. Switch it up and get motivated by working out with others!
Some common exercises used in HIIT are: squats, kettlebell swings, box jumps, jumping jacks, planks, abdominal crunches, and sometimes fun props are included, like an obstacle course.
THINGS TO KNOW: Ages 16+, wear sneakers, bring water.
