Mission Garden, located at Tucson's birthplace at the base of "A" Mountain, is a living agricultural museum of Sonoran Desert-adapted heritage fruit-trees, traditional heirloom crops, and edible native plants. Its mission is to preserve, transmit, and revive the region’s rich agricultural heritage by growing garden plots representing more than 4000 years of continuous cultivation in the Tucson Basin. Open Wednesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Suggested donation $5/person.

DirectionsFrom Tucson's West Side, go south on Grande Ave and turn left on Mission Lane, at the base of "A" Mountain. At the Mission Garden sign follow the path to the gate on the east side of the garden. From the southwest, go north on Mission Road, go past Starr Pass Road, and turn right on Mission Lane at the base of "A" Mountain.
